Starting From the year 2017/18 Maturata Plantations implement 500 Hec Cinnamon planting project covering 3 low country estates in Akurassa region. In year 2017/18 Maturat planted 50 Hect. of Cinnamon and in year 2018/19 up to now another 70 Hectare of Cinnamon have been planted in Wilpita, Diddenipotha, and Andapana Estates. The company planning to plant another 30 Hect. before end 2019 March and another 150 Hect. in the 2019/2020 financial year.
